Our Departure
03:55
|

Early on a sunday morning
we're here at the bar
Desmond, Vlad, and, Morgan
exchange a laugh and joke before we go afar
Load up the boat with with everything we need
follow me on a journey and I'll lead
Set the course for Antarctica's tip
we've been donated the finest ship
though we'll risk our lives being bold
we'll find the end of the world as the stories untold
All our friends and family wish us all goodluck
We're so nervous giving hugs and kisses, we're stuck
I give a pat on my doggies head
and remind Teresa to keep him well fed.
This is it, crack the champagne
now it's time that we'll finally leave Maine
Set the course for Antarctica's tip
we've been donated the finest ship
though we'll risk our lives being bold
we'll find the end of the world as the stories untold

The Secret Animal Cliff

Step into the snow
and let the ice freeze your toes
6 doggies pull us over the hill
and now we just stand still
up near a cliff the wall cracks open revealing a passage
And we're all scared stiff
and a penguin and a polar bear present
a bow and smile
and we enter a cave that goes on for miles
Little did we know the animals they had a show
they welcomed us with open arms, they gave us foods and suits and charms
The animals, the animals
So we talk to the mayor
and let him know about our journey
we spoke to the soothsayer
and he said we need an attorney
now we've packed up our gear and take off without any fear
We got our huskies
strapped them up and fed them what we had left
they wished us good luck
they gave us all the clothing that they had
Little did we know know the animals they had a show
they welcomed us with open arms, they gave us foods and suits and charms
The animals, the animals

The winds picked up around Beardmore Glacier.
And, I've been lost for days since we lost view.
I keep checking my radio in hopes the party will
show.
I set up tent with some poles and a tarp.
the winds pick up and they sound just like a harp.
Was it east or was it west? I sure could use a
rest. Wipe the ice away and I see your
engraving. On this cantine, I'm just
waiting on this damn team.
…engraving on this cantine. I'm just
waiting on this damn team
I'm plotting a path on this map, pack it away in this
sack. Lace up my boots and call it a wrap.
I'm heading south of this rift to the animal cliff
I'll follow our fading foot prints, it's really my only good
hint. Wander to the sunset for that glint.
Purple sky leads me tonight, not a human being in sight.
The ice will melt away and I see your

Into a cave, I wander the corridors.
All my water, I squander the hoards.
Take a seat right next to an ape and he advises me it's not to late
This fuzzy fellow had taken
Refuge, long ago
And I let him know that I could use a
Trip too the tavern back home
I wonder why, we ever left the port
This adventure, was only in vain
Who thought that I would end up all alone
He poured me a glass of his finest whiskey
What a nice guy he was, the tabloids always portray him as a beast
A creamy light brown coat of fur,
he spun his head around
This fuzzy fellow had taken
Refuge, long ago
And I let him know that I could use a
Trip too the tavern back home
I wonder why, we ever left the port
This adventure, was only in vain
Who thought that I would end up all alone

The Last Transmission

We approach a mirage in the distance
my goggles are fogged up but it's definitely not there
we got our picks and we went away like a chain gang
I miss the sand dunes
I miss your truck
I miss the road
I miss your folks
I miss the ocean
I miss your dog
You me with a gift to capture any images I wanted
You me with some memories in my book but now I'm haunted
You left behind without a trail of silence behind you
But one night
in the tent
you got in touch
you saw April's issue of "The Explorer's League" and you liked it
seeing Misty cross the ice valley
and that was the last transmission
